Who’s Who: Bobby C. Martin Jr. – Part 2
Bobby C. Martin Jr. has influenced many corporations through his having been part of so many different groups. Martin through his own company however has continued this influence. One example of this is the company’s redesign of the brand name of Carnegie Hall. Carnegie Hall, while having existed for a long time, wanted a new public appearance to encourage customers that Carnegie Hall was still the place to go see. Champions Design worked alongside Adobe XD to redesign the outdated Carnegie Hall logo. Feeling that the old design for presenting Carnegie Hall was too outdated, Martin’s team was brought on for the task of coming up with a new design that would represent all that Carnegie Hall is and stands for. Maintaining the red theme of the original design the team simplified the logo to simple white lettering instead of the old text and underlining lines. The lettering style was created to show the Hall’s elegance while still looking modern and no longer outdated. The product designs were created alongside the new logo to show the values of Carnegie Hall. Designs featuring old photographs and phrases like “Practice Practice Practice” were incorporated into the products. maintaining the old original red and sometimes incorporating a new navy blue for t-shirts allowed for more pronounced presence with the products while still not being too overbearing on the viewers. Martin’s designs are available on t-shirts on the Carnegie Hall webstore.
